Five After Midnight

Five After Midnight is a dynamic Indianapolis-based cover band known for their energetic performances and wide-ranging setlist. Since forming in 2018, they’ve captivated audiences across Central Indiana with crowd-pleasing renditions of artists like Stevie Wonder, Chris Stapleton, The Beatles, blink-182, and Toto. Whether it's funk, pop, classic rock, or alternative hits, this band brings something for everyone.

Their lineup typically includes drums, keyboard, bass, guitar, male and female vocals, and a lively horn section with saxophone, trombone, and trumpet—delivering a full, vibrant sound that gets the party started. From college campuses to city parades, Five After Midnight has built a reputation for fun, genre-spanning shows that leave a lasting impression.

Meet the Members

  • Patrick Guindon - Vocals / Guitar

    Patrick is a founding member of the band. He has been playing guitar and singing since 2010, with experience playing for various church services and personal enjoyment. Patrick also plays saxophone, clarinet, and ukulele, and has been involved in music since 2002. Outside of the band, Patrick enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies and television, and working with local area high school marching bands through their fall competition season.

  • Kristen Bales - Vocals / Guitar

    Kristen is a newer addition to the band who sings and occasionally plays guitar. Kristen also plays in her own original band with an indie-alternative/rock genre out of Indianapolis giving a range from Norah Jones-like crooning to soul-filled tones of Janis Joplin. Outside of performing music, Kristen is a writer/author, songwriting instructor, and enjoys spending time with her family.

  • Kyle Page - Bass

    Kyle has been a member of the band for many years, and was an early addition to the group. Kyle has been playing bass since his high school years, with experience playing for other groups and personal enjoyment. Outside of the band, Kyle enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing different rec league sports, and spending some free time with video games and TV.

  • Tony Maas - Saxophone

    Tony is the first horn player added to the Band. Tony graduated from the Jacobs School of Music with a Performance degree. Tony has played and gigged with many groups in Indianapolis as well as around the Midwest. He is currently the Township Saxophone teacher in Franklin Township. He is also in charge of the band for the top show Choir at Franklin Central High School the FC Singers. Outside of performing, Tony enjoys relaxing with friends and playing D&D.

  • Evan Cooper - Trombone

    Evan has been a member since 2020 and was one of the first horn additions to the Band. Evan graduated from the IU Jacobs School of Music with a degree in Music Education. In 2008, Evan was a performing member with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps who finished 3rd at World Finals receiving the Bronze Medal. Evan recently retired as the Director of Bands at Franklin Central High School. He is now a stay-at-home Dad. Outside of performing, Evan enjoys watching sports and spending time with his Wife and beautiful daughter.

  • Tina Cooper - Trumpet

    Tina has been a member since 2020 and was one of the first horn additions to the Band. Tina received her Doctor of Optometry (OD) from Indiana University and practices at her clinic, Nora Eye Care, in Indianapolis. Her undergraduate work was also at IU, with a degree in computer science and a minor in music. Tina enjoys playing her trumpet as a hobby and has been playing for many years. She is fond of ballroom dance and loves spending time with her husband, Evan, and their beautiful daughter, Matilda.

  • Isaac Vining - Keys / Drums

    Isaac has been a member since 2023 and has been a shoe-in ever since. Isaac is a great musician and sound engineer who gigs with many groups around Indianapolis, writes and records with many groups, and runs sound at church services on the North side of Indy. Outside of his many musical jobs and hobbies, Isaac enjoys playing Pokemon Go and other Nintendo games.

  • Ben Hogan - Keys / Drums

    Ben Hogan has been a member since 2024 and has fit in with the group tremendously. Ben is a multi-instrumentalist who has filled in on keyboards, guitar, drums, and backing vocals. Ben studied Jazz Studies at the University of Louisville as well as Arts Management at University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. He has been a valuable asset for the band! Outside of music, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young son.

  • Katie Ryan - Bass / Trumpet

    Katie has been a member since 2023 and has found a way to help the band in multiple ways. Katie has stepped in on multiple occasions on both Trumpet and Bass. While she enjoys trumpet, Bass is where she enjoys her time the most. Katie is the Orchestra teacher at Kitley Intermediate School for the Franklin Township Schools. Outside of teaching and playing music with the band, Katie enjoys playing bass for various theater productions. She also enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two daughters.

  • Shelbi Berry - Vocals

    Shelbi has performed with the group a number of times since 2023 and has been a killer presence at vocals. Shelbi has been a performer for as long as she can remember and includes a wide range on her resume. From marching percussion in high school, to local theater in Indianapolis with Footlite Musicals, to living in New York City and working on Broadway. Shelbi is also an excellent actor. Outside of performing, Shelbi loves supporting causes near to her, expressing her artistry in new ways, gaming, and her dog.
